Physical Computing
Portfolio Development
Current Projects
Voice-Controlled CNC Toolpaths
In ProgressTraining an agent to generate CNC toolpaths from voice commands. 'Make me a phone stand' → G-code in 30 seconds.
Make89 Website
In ProgressBuilding this very website using Next.js, TypeScript, and MDX. Focusing on creating a clean, performant portfolio that showcases the intersection of code and craft.
AI Art Generator
ResearchBuilding a system that combines AI-generated concepts with physical art creation. Think DALL-E meets laser engraving.
Thermochromic Epoxy Experiments
LearningColor-shifting epoxy using thermochromic pigments. Furniture that changes color with temperature and touch.
Creative Coding Workshop
TestingSetting up a dedicated space for experimenting with code-driven art and physical computing projects.

Recent Updates
Successfully integrated MDX-based content management for the now page. The page now dynamically loads from content files while maintaining the original interactive design.
Completed the Make89 website redesign and branding. The site now properly reflects the intersection of code and craft with a modern, performant architecture.
Set up the voice CNC system to understand more complex geometric descriptions. 'Spiral with increasing radius' now generates perfect Archimedean spirals.

Status: In active development Timeline: Launch by end of January 2026
Voice-Controlled CNC Router
Experimenting with speech recognition to control a CNC router. The goal is to speak design ideas and watch them come to life in wood.
Status: Proof of concept complete Next: Safety protocols and command expansion
AI Art Generator
Building a system that combines AI-generated concepts with physical art creation. Think DALL-E meets laser engraving.
